Emergency Tree Removal
We were called in an emergency to help remove a large tree that had fallen against a bridge structure, restricting water flow and posing the risk of a blockage or hazard. To access the site, we brought a pontoon, disassembled it into smaller sections, and carried it across a field and railway crossing to reach the riverbank. The pontoon was then assembled in the river with edge protection installed, allowing workers to safely cut up and remove the tree from a stable platform. Afterwards, the pontoon served as a barge, transporting the sections of the tree to the bank for removal by road. Rebel Marine staff provided safety oversight while equipped with specialized water rescue gear. Once the tree was fully cleared, the pontoon was dismantled, carried back across the same field and railway crossing, and reloaded. The team consisted of three Rebel Marine operatives completing the task in one shift. From the initial contact to completion was less than 24-hours.
