River Mole, Leatherhead
Pontoon for Brickwork Repairs
Within 23 hours of receiving instructions our team delivered and installed 200m² of modular pontoon under a railway viaduct over the River Mole in Leatherhead, Surrey. Bringing four trailer loads of pontoon sections and edge protection the installation was completed in under five hours.
This impressive, quick turnaround enabled our client to begin the emergency structural repairs promptly. We also built an access ramp up the riverbank, ensuring contractors could safely embark and disembark from the pontoon.
Site access was challenging due to width and height restrictions, so all pontoons had to be launched manually down the riverbank. Our highly versatile modular pontoons are customizable to any size or shape, which allowed them to fit closely around structures encapsulating them with minimal gaps.
Less than a week later our team returned to install a further 150m² of pontoon to eventually span the entirety of the structure. This allowed access to further brickwork repairs.
